BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The RMV said Thursday that inspections are not being conducted for another day because of an ongoing problem with its vendor.
Applus Technologies said the inspection process was interrupted because of a malware attack, which they managed to stop.

The RMV said they are urging the vendor to provide a timeline as to when the issue will be resolved, and “confirmation of the extent of this nationwide system outage” as it impacts residents and the small businesses that run inspection stations in Massachusetts.
The RMV has been in communication with law enforcement to make sure residents with an expired sticker, who may have tried to get an inspection this week, are not ticketed.
