MONTEPELIER, VT (WBZ NewsRadio) — Vermont Attorney General T.J. Donovan will be stepping down from office in June to enter the online gaming industry with the company Roblox.
Donovan, a Democrat elected to the office of Attorney General in 2016, announced last month that he will not be seeking reelection in the coming polls. After 16 years as an elected official, 19 in public service, Donovan is changing careers and will become the director of public policy and U.S. state strategies for Roblox, a company based in San Mateo, California, according to the A.P.
Donovan will remain in Vermont, with his resignation effective on June 20.

"It has been a distinct honor to serve the people of Vermont and to serve alongside so many dedicated public servants throughout state government. Thank you for the privilege," Donovan said on Twitter in May.
