Victim Identified After Fatal Crash In Bourne On Thanksgiving

BOURNE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts State Police has identified the victim of a fatal single-car crash on Thanksgiving in Bourne.

According to Massachusetts State Police, 23-year-old Cassandra Williams of Stoughton was killed Thursday shortly after 3 p.m. when her vehicle went off the road on Route 25 eastbound, near Exit 3.

"Preliminary investigation by the State Police-Bourne Barracks indicates that a 2014 Nissan Sentra was traveling on Route 25 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle exited the roadway to the right," MSP said. "The operator and sole occupant was transported to Tobey Hospital where she was pronounced deceased."

MSP said the scene was cleared at 5:45 p.m. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
