BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Police has identified the two victims found inside a submerged vehicle located Friday afternoon in Boston's Seaport District.
The victims have been identified as 21-year-old Tatianna L. Morales of New Bedford, and 21-year-old Djovany Pierre of Roxbury.
According to New Bedford Guide, Morales' loved ones reported her missing earlier this week when she failed to show up to pick up her two-year-old son.
At around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, MSP responded to Black Falcon Avenue, between the Black Falcon Terminal and 88 Black Falcon Ave., after developing information that an SUV had gone into the water at that location earlier this week.
According to an MSP spokesperson, a Boston Fire Department diver was the first to dive the area and locate the vehicle on Friday afternoon, which was in about 40 feet of water, approximately 15 feet out from the pier.
There was no word on why authorities believe Morales' vehicle ended up in the water. The investigation into the facts and circumstances of the victims' deaths is ongoing, and is being led by the Suffolk County District Attorney and conducted by Massachusetts State Police.
