WAKEFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Wakefield are investigating after a work crew discovered skeletal remains near Wakefield High School on Tuesday.
The survey crew was working on Farm Street near the high school at about 11:00 AM on Tuesday when they found the remains, described by the police as "possible human skeletal remains," in the wetlands between Rivers Lane and the high school tennis court.
Police said there was no threat to the school, but that police activity was visible from the school during dismissal .
Detectives from the Wakefield Police, State Police, and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office are all looking at the remains.
