WAKEFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A tree service worker was killed in a work-related accident Tuesday morning, authorities in Wakefield said.
The Wakefield Fire and Police Departments responded around 11 a.m. to a home on Greenwood Street after a call that the 34-year-old worker had been seriously injured while working for an independent tree company in a wooded area of the premises.
First responders pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
OSHA and the Massachusetts State Police are investigating.
