Police Capture Walpole Knife Assault Suspect In Vermont

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Walpole Police said Friday afternoon that a man who allegedly attacked another person with a knife Wednesday night has been captured in Vermont.

Ian Crowley, 31, was wanted in connection to an assault and battery with a knife that happened near Common Street and Route 1 around 7 p.m.

WBZ-TV's Bill Shields reported that Crowley stabbed a family member. Police said the alleged attack "was an isolated event."

Police and K9 patrols were increased in the Common Street area, and a reverse-911 call was sent out to alert the public.
