Warm, Sunny Weather Expected For First Week Of Spring

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The birds are singing, crocuses are sprouting, and spring seems to have sprung across the Greater Boston region with unusually warm temperatures in the forecast this week.

Spring officially started Saturday, March 20. Since then, temperatures have been hovering near 60 degrees during the day, and there is plenty more to come.

Highs will range in the upper fifties or low sixties in Metro Boston, with warmer temperatures inland and plenty of sun. The warmest day of the week looks like it will be Thursday, with much of the state likely to surpass 70 degrees. The one exception will be the Cape, Islands, and the immediate coastline, which will remain cooler.

Wednesday looks to be substantially cloudy, but any rain should hold off until Friday.
