BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Coast Guard rescued an injured fisherman 90 miles east of Cape Ann on Thursday.
Coast Guard Sector Boston watchstanders got a notification from the Sea Rambler reporting that a crewmember had severely hurt their arm in a hatch and that the fishing vessel was asking for help.

A Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew and HC-144 Ocean Sentry fixed wing aircraft crew were able to safely hoist and transfer the fisherman to Mass General Hospital in Boston for treatment.

The Sea Rambler is now ported in Portland, Maine.
