FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police were on the lookout Tuesday morning after a black bear was spotted roaming neighborhoods in Framingham.
Isabel Famania’s neighbor captured video of the bear on a stroll in the area, including on Spruce Street, Eleanor Road, and Knight Road.
“The video just shows that he came down to like the end of the street and probably decided it wasn’t safe to cross the street by himself, and turned around and headed back into the woods,” Famania said.
However, not even a bear sighting could stop Famania from going on her morning run.
“As I was heading down the road, the Framingham police officer came up and just wanted to give me a friendly warning that there was a bear in the neighborhood, and to be safe,” Famania said.
Massachusetts Environmental Police and Framingham Police patrolled the neighborhood where the bear was last seen, but were unable to locate it.
