MEDFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — As Halloween draws closer, a professional pumpkin carver stopped by the WBZ NewsRadio Boston newsroom to spook things up a bit.
Paul Dever is best known for his work featured on the Food Network, but he has made his way around the Greater Boston area. He won "Outrageous Pumpkins" in 2019 before being brought back as a judge in season three.
“Topsfield Fair I was just at recently; I do a lot of local fairs," Dever said.
With a resume like this, Dever was fully prepared to judge a different pumpkin competition…right in the WBZ NewsRadio newsroom.
WBZ NewsRadio’s Kate Gallagher, Jay Willett, and Stina Chang were given 10 minutes to sculpt some pumpkins of their own to see who impressed Dever the most.
