BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A woman's phone ended up in a pit after a suspect approached her and threw it underneath the subway tracks.
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Transit Police said on Friday that the unknown male suddenly appeared and forcefully grabbed the victim's phone from her hands, tossing it under the platform for the MBTA's Downtown Crossing Red Line Southbound trains.
Police said that the incident occurred on March 20, at about 11 p.m. at night. Surveillance cameras captured the moment on video, which Transit Police released online.
Officials said that detectives are investigating and looking to identify the suspect responsible.
