DENNIS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The National Weather Service is in Dennis investigating whether a tornado touched down there overnight as a result of Post-Tropical Cyclone Ida.
Ida unleashed torrential downpours, heavy winds, and flooding which caused damage all across the Northeast, with Cape Cod and the South Shore being especially hit hard.
The NWS crew is at East Bay View Road, where the storm split trees in half. A nearby home had one of its windows broken and furniture strewn in several yards.
No injuries were reported.
