BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — One of the Los Amigos restaurants is allowed to reopen in West Roxbury after being shuttered earlier in May.
The Boston Inspectional Services Department gave the West Roxbury location a pass to reopen on Tuesday. The West Roxbury location at 1741 Centre Street was closed for multiple health code violations on May 19. Those included rodent droppings on the floor and improper food storage.
The Mexican restaurant made progress on the issues by May 28, and was given the all-clear shortly after. No illnesses were reported from the West Roxbury location.
The chain's Brighton Center location is still closed after more than 40 people came down with salmonella after eating there. It was shut down on May 18. Dozens of people are planning to file lawsuits as a result of the wave of illnesses, according to food safety attorney Jory Lange.
WBZ NewsRadio has reached out to the restaurant chain for comment.
