BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — More hazy skies are in the forecast for Massachusetts on Wednesday.
The ongoing wildfires across several states in the Western part of the U.S. and Canada continue to create plumes of smoke that are traveling through the jet stream to New England.
As a result, residents may notice a reddish, orange tint in the skies along with a thick haze.
Meteorologists are projecting that the haze will be cleared out by Wednesday evening after potentially severe thunderstorms and a cold front in the afternoon.
Scientists predict that the smoke being cleared out will improve air quality across the region as well.
