WESTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Weston Fire Department posted on its Facebook page this successful rescue of almost a dozen ducklings trapped in a storm drain.
The fire department says an alert commuter noticed a mother duck in distress, stopped to find out what was wrong and heard the cries of the little ducklings coming from the bottom of a storm drain.
The Weston Fire Department responded to the call and crew members were able to open the drain and safely get the 11 little ducklings up and out and reunited with their very relieved mother duck.
Good show by the alert commuter and the Weston Fire Department!
