WESTWOOD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Westwood-based Grillo's Pickles celebrated National Pickle Day Thursday by launching an arguably over-the-top product: a pickle-themed toothpaste flavored with cucumber and dill.
The toothpaste is a collaboration between Grillo's Pickles and oral heal company Boka. The packaging features Grillo's signature mascot and boasts a product containing Nano-Hydroxyapatite, "a mineral that helps fortify enamel to support a healthy smile."
The companies describe the product as a "one-of-a-kind flavor sensation."

Pictures of the toothpaste posted on social media were taken by many as a joke, but it's real. Grillo's marketing team shared the toothpaste with the WBZ NewsRadio staff, and our reactions ranged from delighted to disgusted.
The toothpaste is being offered on Boka's website and on Amazon for a limited time, so pickle lovers should act fast if they hope to snag a tube for the holidays.
