WILMINGTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Wilmington Police are searching for a male suspect they say robbed a woman at gunpoint.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6 when the victim was walking on the trails behind the Wilmington Family Medical Center at 500 Salem St.
She was approached by a man, who showed a handgun and demanded the woman's phone and jewelry.
The suspect was reported to be in his mid-40s, about 5'8" tall, and weighing about 180 lbs. He was reported to have blue eyes, messy darker blonde hair, and some type of unkempt facial hair. He was wearing a blue surgical mask, dark blue t-shirt, and dark brown pants.
Police released a sketch of the suspect. The victim reported that although sharing similar features, the male depicted in the sketch looks younger than the actual suspect.
