BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Tuesday night for Massachusetts except the South Coast, Cape and Islands.
The advisory goes into effect at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and lasts until 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts freezing rain that will change to light rain in the morning.
The NWS said roads, particularly at higher elevations, could become slippery and are urging caution. A widespread tenth of an inch of ice is possible, in an area stretching from just west of Route 128 to Berkshire County.
AccuWeather predicts temperatures will be around 34 degrees in Boston on Wednesday, with temperatures slightly colder North and West of the city.
