WOBURN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An alleged incident at Woburn Memorial High School is under investigation after Woburn Police received a complaint last week.
Details from school and town officials were scarce, but Woburn Police Chief Robert Rufo, Mayor Scott Galvin, and Woburn Superintendent Dr. Matthew Crossley released a joint statement on the incident on Saturday.
Police said they had received a complaint this past Wednesday that involved members of an unspecified Woburn High sports team over an "incident" that happened earlier this school year.
Authorities shared no other details, but the incident was serious enough to merit a detective assigned to the case and attention from the Middlesex County D.A., which is also investigating.
The officials said they wouldn't be releasing any more information yet because of the ages of the students involved.
