DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Dartmouth police are investigating a woman's allegations that she was secretly being videotaped while using the restroom at a local nail salon.
In a public Facebook post, a woman from Newport, R.I. alleges that the incident happened on Friday, January 31 at Fantastic Nails & Spa at 435 State Road, Dartmouth, Mass.
She wrote that she "asked the male worker where the bathroom was. He asked me to hold on for a minute. He went into the ladies restroom and shortly came out saying 'it's all set' .. .whatever that means?" The woman goes on to allege that she then saw a "camera looking" at her "through a perfectly cut hole" in a green bag on a shelf inside the bathroom.
The woman also wrote that "police are now involved."
The Dartmouth Police Department confirms it is "actively investigating" the alleged incident, adding that "more information will be released when it is available."
