Woman, Child Rescued From Fire On Beacon Hill

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A woman and a child were rescued from a fire at a building on Beacon Hill Saturday morning, according to the Boston Fire Department.

The fire began around 6 a.m. at a building — that housed businesses and apartments — on Beacon Street. Smoke could be seen coming from the first floor of the four-story building.

A woman and child were rescued from the third floor of the building.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries.

The Boston Fire Department said that the damages are estimated to be $100,000.
