Woman Dies After Being Struck By Car In Acton This Week

ACTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police said a woman who was hit by a car in the parking lot of a Roche Bros. in Acton earlier this week has died.

Denise Stracqualursi, 56, was reportedly walking outside the supermarket with a shopping cart on Monday afternoon when a 76-year-old woman made a left turn and hit her while she was crossing the travel lane.

The driver remained on the scene, and Stracqualursi was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Middlesex District Attorney's office later said in a statement on Friday that Stracqualursi died on Thursday after the crash.

The incident is still under investigation -- and no charges have been filed so far.
