PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A woman has been killed and a second injured in an early morning double shooting in Providence.
The shooting occurred at about 2 a.m. Sunday on Detroit Avenue.
The woman who was injured was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for surgery.
Police have not identified the women. An investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
Police blocked off the area around the shooting to look for evidence.
