NAHANT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio)— The pro shop at the Kelly Greens golf course in Nahant has everything one could expect to find at a golf course, including on unique surprise product.

Patrons can find custom golf-themed greeting cards made by the shop's employee Nancy Hamson. She started making these cards after noticing a lack of golf-themed greeting cards available in paper stores.

"I was just curious as to what was on the market for the golf industry as far as greeting cards," Hamson told WBZ's Carl Stevens.

Hamson is a long-time employee of the golf industry but also worked at a paper store that sold lots of greeting cards. She spent time during the pandemic learning how to make custom greeting cards to make her own golfs cards.

Some of the cards Hamson designed include cartoon figures of golfers, male and female, teeing off or posing with their golf bags. She sells the cards out of the pro shop but has her eyes set on a bigger prize.

Hamson said she plans to take these cards to the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida next January. She said she's confident they will be a big hit.

"I really think that this is such a unique product," Hamson said. "These things are going to take off."
