Abandoned Babies Found Safe By Railroad Tracks In Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A pair of twins were found left alone near railroad tracks in Worcester early Wednesday morning.

Worcester Police said the babies, approximately nine months old, were taken to an area hospital and appeared to be unharmed.

They were found by railroad workers around 12:15 a.m. by the train tracks near Kansas Street, following a call to Worcester Police for a welfare check at a Cambridge Street address.

The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, as well as Worcester Police, are investigating. The babies are in DCF custody.
