WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — While JetBlue will be operating two new direct flights to Florida from Worcester Regional Airport beginning in June, it appears to be dropping its direct flights from Worcester to JFK in New York.
JetBlue announced last week that it is adding daily service to Orlando starting June 15, and seasonal service to Fort Myers during the Boston Red Sox spring training season.
”Massachusetts customers can now much more easily travel back and forth to Florida ….. including daily flights to Fort Myers during the Red Sox Spring Training,” said Robin Hayes, JetBlue’s chief executive officer.
But according to JetBlue’s website, it is no longer offering its direct flights from Worcester to JFK as of June 15.
The Telegram and Gazette reported that Worcester Regional Airport Director Andy Davis said JetBlue is phasing out its direct JFK flights as the Florida routes are added on June 15.
