Worcester Beverage Company Turns Bottles Into Face Shields

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A beverage company in Worcester is making personal protective equipment out of their plastic drinking bottles to donate to healthcare workers during COVID-19.

The Crowley's, the family that owns Polar Beverages, has also made a YouTube video showing people how to use their own empty bottles to make a DIY face shields for those on the front lines.

Chris Crowley, Executive Vice President of Polar Beverages, said his sister has been making the shields for local healthcare workers, and they are looking for volunteers to make more for medical staff during the pandemic.

"We've made them available fo nursing homes that needed some help," Crowley told WBZ NewsRadio. "And we've helped a hospital in Brockton."
