Worcester Fire Department Finds Body Of Missing Male With Dementia

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – The Worcester Fire Department recovered a body in Lake Quinsigamond and identified as a missing 68-year-old male with dementia.

Worcester Police Department released a photo of the man earlier Wednesday afternoon on their Twitter saying the man was last seen near Lake Quinsigamond at Regatta Point.

Worcester Fire Department Deputy Chief Adam Roche said diving crews were searching the area.

“Obviously, the water is colder for divers. So, it’s not ideal situation to search him, but our divers our professionals,” Roche said. “They’re doing the best they can to search the area they suspect he may be in."

Firefighters have not released the man’s name, but say they were working with his family on the search. More information will be provided when available.
