Worcester Police Seize Hundreds of Fentanyl Pills

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A length investigation led to Worcester police seizing what they believe to be hundreds of fentanyl pills Tuesday, the Worcester Police Department said.

According to a news release from the department, officers entered three locations and a vehicle after witnessing the target of the warrant, Ramon Mateo, 36, exit his residence on Providence Street around 2 p.m.

Police recovered about 1300 grams of what appeared to be fentanyl and approximately 700 pills also believed to be fentanyl, the release said.

Mateo was arrested for Trafficking in Fentanyl over 200 Grams and will be arraigned in court.
