Worcester Red Sox Return To Full Capacity For Home Opener

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Worcester Red Sox are celebrating Opening Day with full capacity crowds and no COVID restrictions at Polar Park.

Tuesday's home opener against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs will be the first time that Polar Park starts the season at full capacity. Last year's home opener was limited to fewer than 2,500 fans due to the commonwealth's 25% capacity restrictions.

The team has also added additional parking and extended menu options.

The WooSox will play the IronPigs in a six-game series through Sunday.

WBZ's Jim MacKay (@JimMacKayOnAir) reports.
