HUDSON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio 1030) — Among the Memorial Day weekend activities people enjoyed, the American Heritage Museum held a two-day event in Hudson Saturday and Sunday featuring World War 2 tanks.
All kinds of tanks were restored and displayed… everything from the M4 Sherman, the M5 Stuart, the M26 Pershing, and the M36 Jackson tanks.
Experts were on hand to explain the history and use of the tanks throughout the war and describe the valor and bravery of the soldiers who operated these massive, armored war machines.
Some of the tanks were restored to their original running conditions.
And even a few of the veterans who operated the tanks during the war were at the event.
Attendees also had the opportunity to visit the museum’s historic aviation hangar and classical automobile barn.
