Yarmouth Man Facing Charges In South Yarmouth Home Invasion

YARMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Yarmouth man is in police custody after allegedly breaking into a South Yarmouth home last week.

NBC 10 Boston reports that Ryan Evans, 24, was arrested at his home on Regional Avenue at around 5 p.m. on Friday after police executed a search warrant.

Evans is accused of entering another home on Regional Avenue. The homeowner reported the incident to police on Tuesday, July 6 after hearing a noise and noticing an unknown man at the bottom of the stairs.

Evans allegedly ran away before officers arrived on scene. Following an investigation, he was arrested on charges of burglary and assault on an occupant, assault to rape a child, and destruction of property.

He was held on $25,000 cash bail, awaiting an appearance in court.
