Yarmouth Police Identify Victim In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash

YARMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Yarmouth Police have identified the victim of a deadly hit-and-run crash that left one person dead.

Alexander Gribko, 85, was killed in the crash, according to Yarmouth Police. The crash happened between Swan Lake Road and Joshua Baker Road. A police officer discovered Gribko around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday while traveling on Winslow Gray Road.

Gribko, who lived in the immediate area of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a red down jacket, blue jeans, a red scarf, a blue hat, and dark mittens at the time of the incident.

Yarmouth Police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call the Yarmouth Police Department at 508-775-0445 ex 2100.
