NEEDHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The You Do It Electronics Store in Needham is closing after 75 years in business along route 128. While it is not clear when the closing date will be, it's a loss for the dozens of loyal customers who have depended on the store for all their electronics and parts needs over the years.

Ed from Norwood is an electrical engineer who has been a frequent customer for years and has never been disappointed.

“I just can’t believe it, “You Do It” was the go-to place for this kind of stuff so, [it’s] very sad, very sad.”

“So, when I had projects that I need individual components for or support equipment, I would come to “You Do It Electronics” and they’d always have what we needed,” Ed added.

Eva is a longtime employee of the store who while sad to see it go, is still stepping up to serve customers with a smile. She was a bit confused when longtime customers like Ed told her that the store is like a church [for them].

“I don’t know what they mean but, they must [have] really enjoyed coming here,” said Eva.

In the meantime, customers should take advantage, as there are lots of big sales happening now as the days of You Do It Electronics are now numbered.
