Is the Flu Shot Failing?
Though the flu shot is highly recommended by doctors and medical experts, this year’s version may not be offering as much protection as you think.  Most years, the flu shot is around fifty percent effective in fighting off the flu.  But this year, flu season has come early, and some experts are concerned the vaccine will be far less effective than in years past.  Australia, which has already had their flu season, had a particularly bad one this year.  To make matters worse, their flu vaccine, which is very similar to the one we use here in the U.S., was only ten percent effective in preventing the flu.  Do you get a flu shot?  Would you get one if you knew it was only going to be ten percent effective?  Call in and join the conversation!

The NFL Goes Full Social Justice Warrior!
The NFL has been dealing with the ongoing controversy of players demonstrating during the national anthem in the name of social and racial justice all year.  In an effort to bring some normalcy back to the pregame routine, the league has agreed to donate almost one hundred million dollars to social justice causes.  But even that isn’t enough for some players, who say they will continue to protest during the anthem, regardless of the agreed donation.  There are also reports that the league is planning to use money that had been designated for breast cancer and veteran charity groups.  Are you ok with the NFL trying to make a deal with the protesting players?  Have you changed your football viewing habits this season?  Call in and sound off!
