In fact, last night’s Oscars hit an all-time low for viewers, averaging 26.5 million. That’s down nineteen percent from last year’s show, which was already at a nine-year low. Why Didn’t Obama Act on Russia? Democrats and the mainstream media have been running a fear campaign against Russia ever since President Trump won the election in November 2016. But for all their bluster over collusion and election meddling, Democrats have not always considered Russia a serious threat. In fact, in 2012, when Mitt Romney said that Russia was the biggest global threat to the United States, President Obama and fellow Democrats ridiculed him for being out of touch and stuck in the past. Yet, just four years later, the Democratic Party is now claiming that Russia is a significant threat to the integrity of our democracy. If Russia was such a threat, why didn’t Democrats act when they were in power?
