NightSide with Dan Rea - Rundown for 3/6/18

North Korea Ready to Talk?  North Korea has caught the rest of the world’s attention, after announcing that they are open to talking with the United States about denuclearization and also promising not to use nuclear or conventional weapons against South Korea.  But with so many years of tension and escalation, can we take the regime at its word?  Dr. Jack Liu, longtime Department of Defense contractor, checks in with Dan and the rest of NightSide Nation to talk about this latest development and whether a peaceful solution is possible.  Do you think this is a sign that President Trump’s aggressive approach is working?  Call in and join the conversation!

The History of Back Bay!  Anthony Sammarco, historian and author of over sixty books on Boston and the surrounding area, joins Dan in the NightSide studio to talk about his latest book, “Boston’s Back Bay”.  Tune in to hear all about the unique beginnings of this well-known Boston neighborhood, then call in with your comments or questions and be a part of the show!

Drivers Say ‘Not So Fast’ to Automated Speeding Tickets!  Providence, Rhode Island paved the way for new traffic cameras last year, approving fifteen cameras that were installed around areas that had a high number of accidents or complaints.  The cameras target drivers going more than ten miles over the speed limit, issuing ninety-five dollar tickets for every violation.  But now, just weeks after the cameras became operational, more than twelve thousand tickets have been issued, and local residents are furious.  Do you think traffic cameras should be able to nail drivers with automated speeding tickets?  Is this a violation of privacy or simply a way to keep the roads safer?  Call in and sound off!
