Nightside with Dan Rea - Rundown for May 14, 2020

Getting Back to Normal. Equity investor and co-chairman of Bain Capital, Stephen Pagliuca, joins Dan to talk about re-opening the economy here in the Bay State. Restaurants, salons, boutiques, real estate brokers, you name it all are waiting for the jump start that is to begin on May 18th. As the co-owner of the Boston Celtics, Pagliuca may also have some predictions for how professional sports may get back up and running. What will the new normal look like?

Mask Patrols. Starting tomorrow (Friday), the city of Lawrence, MA will be sending out police patrols twice a day to catch mask scofflaws. The fine if you are caught in a public place without a face covering is $300. City Mayor Dan Rivera says the purpose is to stop the spread of the virus and keep everyone safe. Rivera joins Dan to discuss the ordinance.

The Unmasking of General Flynn. A slew of top Obama Administration officials, including Former Vice President Joe Biden and former FBI Director James Comey, have been named in a report by acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell as having tried to “unmask” General Michael Flynn’s identity during the Russia probe. Also named as trying to reveal the identity of General Flynn were Intelligence chiefs John Brennan and James Clapper, Obama chief of staff Dennis McDonough, and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power. Biden has denied knowing anything about the investigation into Gen. Flynn who plead guilty to lying to the FBI in 2017. Is this the tip of the iceberg?
