1st Blizzard! A long duration Nor’easter, aka the first blizzard of the season is striking New England. The storm is expected to dump a foot to 18 inches of snow in some areas along with wind gusts up to 60 mph at times. How are things in your neck of the woods?
Vaccination “Equity”. The Pentagon says it is pausing its plan to inoculate Guantánamo Bay detainees including 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Meanwhile, closer to home some hospitals are being criticized because they are inoculating members of their boards of trustees and in some cases significant donors before those who have currently received the go ahead in the vaccine rollout plan. What should happen to these “vaccine line jumpers”? Should they receive a fine or be punished?
An FBI Get Out of Jail Free Card. Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who admitted to doctoring an email used to justify secret surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser was sentenced 12 months of probation with no time behind bars. While the judge says Clinesmith’s conduct had undermined FIS, he also found that the FBI agent's actions were not motivated by political bias and was in fact an honest mistake. Should Clinesmith have gone to jail?
