Flipping the Bird. The Vermont office of the ACLU is suing a state trooper on behalf of a man who was arrested for "flipping off" a police officer. The driver in question was pulled over, detained, and questioned by a state trooper. When released the ticked off man proceeded to give the officer the middle finger salute. The disorderly conduct charge was eventually dismissed but the man is now suing for First Amendment violations. Does the Vermont man have a good case? Breaking Will... During a Zoom meeting with Vermont climate advocates, the Massachusetts Undersecretary for Climate Change, David Ismay, said the state needs to “break” the will of taxpayers regarding heating homes and driving cars. The Governor has denounced the remark but is that really the sentiment of the administration?

The New York Times has suggested that the Biden Administration create a cross-agency task force to tackle disinformation and domestic extremism, which would be led by a "Reality Czar" whose job it would be to rein in media misinformation.
