What’s the 211? Massachusetts Senator Diana DiZoglio is calling for an independent investigation into the planning and execution of the COVID-19 vaccination plan here in Massachusetts. All along the way, there have been speed bumps in the rollout process. There was the website crash a couple weeks ago that left thousands of new eligible citizens unable to sign up for the vaccine. Then, more recently this past weekend, residents who signed up for a vaccine at the Curative Danvers site through the state’s 211 call in system, were turned away. HR-1 and the Bloody Sunday Executive Order. President Biden signed an executive order revamping voting rights yesterday, on the 56th anniversary of the Bloody Sunday civil rights confrontation in Selma, AL. The President made the move after HR-1, the House bill on the same subject, met opposition in the U.S. Senate. The Administration says the order expands voting access while critics say it removes election safeguards and attempts to federalize the election process. Should our election system be overhauled?
