Public Safety Intervention in Boston. The shooting of Dorchester grandmother Delois Brown has re-ignited the arguments on how best to increase public safety in Boston's neighborhoods. Mrs. Brown was killed while sitting on her porch Saturday evening. Youth activist and religious leader Rev. Eugene Rivers says what is needed is prevention, intervention, and enforcement, not the current fad of de-funding. The Reverend joins Dan to discuss where Boston needs to go from here.

Swearing at the Judge. The Supreme Judicial Court here in Massachusetts has ruled to wipe away a Plymouth County Judge’s charge of criminal contempt for one juvenile. The 16-year old juvenile was before Juvenile Court judge Kathryn White for a hearing on alleged violations of conditions of her release. After Judge White set a $1 bail instead of letting the juvenile go back to her state-run program, the 16-year old called the judge, “a dumb white bitch”, causing the judge to charge her with criminal contempt. Did the Supreme Judicial Court make the right decision in overturning this criminal contempt charge?

Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Pause. The CDC has come out and recommended that the United States put a pause on administering the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine after 6 reported cases of a severe and rare type of blood clot. All six cases occurred among women between the ages of 18 and 48. These women had reactions 6-13 days after the vaccination. Have you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine? Are you worried?
