Strike One and You’re Out! In the bottom of the sixth inning of Saturday's Red Sox/Yankees game, Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo was struck in the back by a baseball thrown at him by a Yankee fan in the stands. An upset Verdugo was held back by teammates and manager Alex Cora took the team off the field to let everything calm down. The Yankees have issued a lifetime ban to the spectator who assaulted Verdugo but does more need to be done?
Pandemic of the Unvaccinated. Coronavirus cases, mainly caused by the delta variant, are rising again nationwide in what the White House is calling the "pandemic of the unvaccinated.” Renewed calls for mask mandates emerge with Los Angeles already taking up another mandatory indoor mask mandate for public spaces. Closer to home, Provincetown, MA has also taken up an indoor mask mandate regardless of vaccination status.
