Infrastructure and the Green New Deal. This week, the $1.2 trillion-dollar infrastructure bill was approved by the Senate. It was approved in a 69-30 vote, with 19 Republicans voting in favor. What is included in the approved bill is funding for public transit, roads, bridges, water, sewer, and broadband. Now, Democrats have proposed another package that would include elements of the green new deal for a whopping $3.5 trillion dollars.
