A Sentencing Gift. A man with a felony record who fired 13 shots at a Boston police officer last year, and who pled guilty this week to a raft of charges including armed assault with intent to murder, was sentenced to just five to six years in state prison. The D.A.'s office had asked for 10 to 12 years. To say that the Boston police are extremely disappointed is an understatement.
