Ready For Take Off. A large-scale international passenger plane carrying 200 U.S. and foreign citizens took off today from Kabul, Afghanistan. This is the first flight out of Kabul since America’s withdrawal last month. This news marked a breakthrough in what has been a tough coordination between the United States and the new Taliban. Many are not buying into the notion of a changed Taliban. Are you? With the end of this war in the Middle East, do you feel safer today than you did 5 or 10 years ago?
Never Forget. As we approach the 20-year anniversary of the terrorist attack on 9/11, we are reminded of how important it is to honor those men and women we tragically lost. The phrase “Never Forget” is a phrase we use to memorialize the ones we cherished but tragically lost that day but it’s a phrase that also reminds us of a time we came together as Americans to be there for one another during such a perilous time. As younger generations come up, will the phase get lost over time? Will parents and teachers continue to instill the importance of the phrase?
