Calling Out The Guard. Faced with a dearth of school bus drivers, Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker is calling in the National Guard to get students to class. As a first step Baker is activating 250 members of the Massachusetts National Guard to aid with school transportation in the hardest hit cities of Chelsea, Lawrence, Lowell, and Lynn. Is this a long-term solution?

Americans Are in a Bad Mood...A new CNN poll says a majority of Americans are “very or somewhat angry” about the way things are going in the U.S. right now. The reasoning behind the anger points to the poor state of the economy, the pandemic, the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and crime. According to the poll, the rising pessimism crosses party lines.
