M, F, or X. Two Massachusetts bills involving gender and sexuality cleared the state Senate this week. One bill would allow residents to mark their sex as “X” on their driver’s licenses and birth certificates and the other would require “medically accurate” sex education in public schools. Currently, sex education is not a requirement in Massachusetts public schools. Are you in favor or opposition to these bills?
The President vs. The Generals. The Pentagon's top generals testified under oath before Congress that they advised President Biden prior to the withdrawal to keep several thousand troops in Afghanistan. Their statements directly contradict the President’s comments in August that no one warned him not to withdraw troops from the country, or at least he does not remember anyone doing so. Is the President misleading the public or is he just forgetful?
In Jail for Criticizing His Superiors... Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, the officer whose video went viral after he called out his military superiors for what he believes was a chaotic exit from Afghanistan, has been put in the brig. The officer remains in pretrial confinement as he awaits a pretrial hearing. Scheller knew he would receive disciplinary action for his outspoken criticism of his superiors, but should he be punished for asking for accountability?
