A School Success Story...! The Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in Massachusetts is blazing trails in regard to the MCAS, how to handle in-class learning during a pandemic and general student success. If they can do it, why can't other schools? Dan speaks with the head of the school, Superintendent Alexander Dan to hear how the school does it!

Life Without the Possibility of Parole. The Massachusetts Legislature is considering an overhaul of criminal sentencing. The proposal would eliminate life without the possibility of parole and guarantee that anyone is offered a parole hearing after having served 25 years no matter what the crime. Does this bill sound like a good idea to you?

Homeless in Seattle. The city of Seattle is announcing the roughly $50 million purchase of three buildings in the fashionable Capitol Hill neighborhood which will be used to provide shelter for some of the city's 12,000 homeless people. The city took a portion of money from the federal COVID relief package to fund the buildings. The apartments on average are costing $300k each. Is this a good use of taxpayer money?
